Why isn't this being discussed? I can't possibly be the only one that is experiencing this.
Dust 514 has A LOT of potential, but what's keeping me away from the game is how unbearably slow the aiming/sensitivity is.
It doesn't matter what the "sensitivity" i put it to. I've been told that "0" sensitivity is the fastest (WTF?!) and "100" is the slowest. Either way, it doesn't make a lick of difference! (Yes, I'm "saving" the settings.)
I thought DICE was working on this game. Weren't they the ones that developed Battlefield 3? If so, why aren't the controls just as sharp?
I find it extremely frustrating that it takes me half an hour to turn around when I'm being shot at from behind.
Add to that the reloading game-breaker. If you start sprinting a nanosecond before you're done reloading (even though the magazine is visually inserted), you're screwed and have to start reloading again. This just doesn't make any sense. C'mon CCP, you guys need to start kicking DICE in the bawlz and tell them to start creating something that they already know how to do!
Once these are fixed, Dust 514 will be the bane of PlanetSide 2. |

Octavian Vetiver wrote:DICE has nothing to do with this game at all. Whoever or wherever you got that information is wrong. There are a few ex-DICE devs working for CCP along with a few others. And it's a PS3 exclusive, so being the bane of PS2 doesn't really matter since that's PC only. And I think they may have reversed it recently after some Feedback.
I could have sworn that DICE was working on Dust 514. If I'm wrong, then I admit it. However, PS2 is essentially the same thing - trying to be a FPS MMORPG. The only difference being the medium it is presented on. So I think the comparison is warranted.
With PS2, the "sensitivity" = sensitivity, and the controls are tight. With Dust 514, I feel like an obese ******** kid waddling around the battlefield being flanked and killed by anyone who is not within 20 degree's from where I'm aiming. |

KAGEHOSHI Horned Wolf wrote:Sensitivity used to be waaaay lower, last build. Its been raised so much that I see people complained that its way too fast. I think its fine. This is developed by CPP (who have some ex-DICE members), not DICE. Reloading while running is coming, confimed here https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=323290#post323290 . Check out this thread for more features planned and coming. [REQUEST] Reloading while running - This planned for in future updates Also, I never heard this about 0 being the fastest, and 100 being slowest. I can confirm its BS.
I've heard this as well and was excited to upgrade to the latest build. However, I haven't seen ANY noticeable difference, which frustrates me greatly. |

Wow, maybe you're experiencing a glitch, the difference was very stark and noticeable. What are your current sensitivity settings?
I've tried the sensitivity from "0" all the way to "100" with no noticeable difference (both X and Y axis). It's like I didn't even change anything. |

I would guess this is a glitch or something, I would report it here https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=topics&f=729
I hope so. I will make another thread there. Thanks |
